Credit Card Rip Off

Chase Credit Services 4-8-09

Chase Credit Card Services HARRASSING the crap out of me because I refuse to pay their late fee of $39. They also jacked up the interest rate to 29.9%! They wouldn’t take my payment over the phone or internet and they would not forgive the late fee. My balance was only $28 and now it is $341 in late fees AFTER I told them to close the account in December!! I always paid HALF on my credit cards and never had any large outstanding balances. Now they can kiss my A55. Let them “charge it off”. If they had waived the late fee, I would have paid happily. They are getting rid of customers who pay too early because they make NOTHING. This is their only way to SUCK YOU DRY!!!

anybody else get ripped off by fake credit card site?

i bought a mastercard gift card at the local grocery store–it’s impossible to find ‘www.mastercardgiftcard123.com" that is on the package. so, like an impatient dummy, i settled for "manage your gift card—log in" for mastercard gift card search. their address: www.consumer card acess.com

this site lets you use about half of your gift card money—so you think there’s a glitch at the buying site or with mastercard, and then you (me) goes out for a second mastercard and goes back to this fake site to make sure your online credit isn’t ruined by cancelling some purchase.

i bought some stuff off ebay and amazon, but the final dollars and final purchase on card wasn’t enough, so i bought a second card so my ebay/amazon buying account not ruined.

stupid me and a smart rip-off fake mastercard site, that only rips off a few of your gift card dollars—i wonder if others thought there was a glitch at mastercard when they used their gift card, and were unaware they were actually on a fake site that took some of their money.

People get ripped off enough by real credit cards, Now this? Use a debit card from your bank or credit union.

Debt Consolidation can lower your monthly credit card debt payments

http://www.debtplan.org

Debt Consolidation can:

Help avoid filing bankruptcy

Eliminate creditor harassment

Lower debt payments up to 50%

Provide one monthly payment

Once you’ve found yourself in debt it may feel like a downward spiral from which you don’t know how you’ll ever regain your footing. It’s hard enough to find simple answers and may seem impossible when the collection agencies constantly call your house and threaten the security of you and your family. Ultimately your decision to choose a debt consolidation loan or credit counseling program to consolidate debts, should be based on your own personal financial situation.

Should I pay my credit cards off before I refinance? Is refinancing my my original lender best?

I bought my house in 2008 with a rate of 6.75% (I believe they ripped me off, my credit was good). I hear rates are lower now. MY credit is about 735. I have about 6000 in credit card debt. Should i pay it off now before I refinance?

you bought the house 2 yrs ago – you haven’t built up enough additional equity yet to qualify for refinancing – you pretty much need at least 20% equity AFTER refinancing to get a refi loan – hardly any principle is paid in the first 2 yrs – 80+% of your basic mortgage payments (excluding taxes and insurance) have been all interest – the house is probably worth less than you bought it for – you might even have NEGATIVE equity, unless you put 30% down when you bought it – house values have probably DECREASED 10-20% since you bought the house – I bought mine in early 2006 and I’m sure I’m at least 20,000 under water equity -wise

and with all that credit card debt – that would affect your refinancing also

and if you ARE able to refi – it will cost you several $1000 refi fees, so it would be years before you break even
